This beautiful print is based on a watercolor illustration by West Virginia artist Rosalie Haizlett.

This is a print from an original pen & ink watercolor illustration that I created as a celebration of the Helvetia Historic Trail in Helvetia, West Virginia.
The illustration features: a black bear, the Helvetia bridge, farmland that surrounds the village, Adder's Tongue, ferns, wild ginseng, snowdrops, spirea, a whitetail deer, and traditional Hütte Swiss Restaurant, the Star Band Hall, two children exploring the nature trail, and the various streams and roads that converge in Helvetia.
The print was created locally by a small print shop in West Virginia. I used a heavy, textured paper for the look and feel of watercolor paper.
